How Much Does it Cost to Fix A Drywall Hole in Fort Collins?

I repair a fair amount of wall holes around Fort Collins and Northern Colorado. Many times, I am fixing other people’s poor patches. A good patch that blends well with your existing wall, texture, and paint and should take approximately 3-5 trips to complete.

So how much does it cost to fix a drywall hole in Fort Collins?

The average cost to fix a wall hole in Fort Collins and surrounding areas is between $350 to $450. (Painting not included)

As I mentioned above, a good patch should take 2-4 trips to complete. This is because each layer of the repair has material that needs to dry. There are generally three coats of drywall mud, wall texture, primer, and paint that all need their proper dry times in order for the patch to look good.

There are a few factors that can affect the price of the repair:

  1. Hole Location. If the hole is high up, on a ceiling, or in a hard-to-work area it can increase cost.
  2. Hole Size. The larger the damaged area the more time and material it will take to fix.
  3. Texture Blend. Larger patches or lots of patches can require re-texturing the entire wall to make it look consistent.
  4. Paint Matching. Unless you have an exact match of backup paint in the garage a new batch will need to be mixed. The color is never 100% the same as what is on the wall, so the entire wall will need to be painted for it to look good.

The bottom line is that a good patch takes time. If someone tells you they can do it in one trip you should think twice about spending any money with them.
